This course prepares students to use hands-on, written, and verbal skills specific to the Certified Nursing Assistant. During this training, you will learn many skills that are important for caring for patients. This training is designed to prepare students to function as nursing assistants in nursing centers and hospitals. Student training will include legal aspects, delegation, safety protocols, patient comfort, work ethics, and examine how OBRA and other laws affect the nursing assistant’s function. The material content used in training is based on state curricula and competency testing services with the purpose/goal of preparing the student for employment. Upon completion of the course, each student will receive a certificate and information on testing sites (Passing of the state CNA test is required for certification through the Florida Board of Nursing).
